listing with our service. Access ArtsŪ has been dedicated to world wide distribution
of information for artists and contemporary visual arts institutions since 1994,
with a readership of more than 1.5 million North American and International
professionals 'daily' (not including our print publications), and a client base
of some of the most prestigious art institutions in the world. Our
publications span subscription based local, national and international
newsletters and magazines; Internet based art and artist publications for
the professional community; syndicated art news networks, career resources
for art schools and universities, and other artist advocacy services.
As a member of the World Artist Registry you gain immediate access to our
subscribers and viewers worldwide. We hope that such exposure will enhance
your position within your art community.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for inclusion, the listed web site must be
devoted exclusively to an individual artist, and that the work exhibited
possess an accomplished quality of technique and expression.

MISC & TERMS OF USE INFORMATION
Attention artists applying to the Registry, please read the guidelines below as
acceptance to the registry is dependent on meeting some of these
standards. In addition, following such practices will increase your
viewers.
- Please remember that this is a serious Registry and not a service
designed to advertise an individual piece of art. This service is designed to provide patrons and/or professionals a resource in locating portfolio's of interest and/or artists for commissioned work. People will go to your web
site based on the narrative about you, your art, and your sample given.
Posts with the sole purpose of advertising an individual piece will be deleted.
- Be complete. Your listing
should be as self-contained as possible, as viewers will decide on
further enquiry based on the information you include about yourself.
- One Application, One Listing.
This service is for individual artists, gallery listings are not accepted.
However, it is permissible to list yourself if you are a member of an online
Gallery as long as the listing does not refer to such and the URL you
provide directs people directly to your individual page within the Gallery. You can always replace your posting at anytime with
other images etc, but there should never be more than two available for review at one time.
- Regarding Exhibition History and Awards.
If you do not
have an exhibition history, or have not received awards, please state such. Your
listing will not be accepted unless all information is accurately provided. Otherwise,
please include a representative list of exhibitions and awards, up to 2 of your most
recent or significant should suffice. A yes or no response
will not be accepted. Your listing will not be
accepted if it simply directs individuals to read about your exhibition
history, education and/or awards on your website.

Provide an image that best
represents your versatility. Listings without images will likely
be ignored by viewers of the Registry.
- About your Artist Statement.
Do not list your website
address in the body of your listing as it is included automatically in
the side panel of your post. Your artist statement should be about you
and your art. Avoid sale pitches, as viewers of
the registry will likely avoid such listings.
- Education. Please include art related education or experiences. If you are self-taught, simply
say that you are self-taught.
TERMS OF USE
Neither World Artist Directory nor any providers of information make any warranties, express or implied, as to results to be obtained
from use of such information, and make no express or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or use. Neither World Artist Directory nor any of providers of information shall have any liability for the accuracy of the information contained in the service, or the contents of any advertisements, or for assertions or omissions therein. No party shall be liable to any other party or any third-party for third-party claims or losses of any nature, including, but not limited to, lost profits, punitive or consequential damages. World Artist Directory reserves the right to remove any listings or any advertisements for any reason. In no case shall World Artist Directory be liable for any costs or events that occur beyond its control including, but not limited to, network outages, Internet connectivity problems and client side browser issues.
The following disclaimer and terms of use apply generally to all postings to the World Artist Directory site It is hereby also understood that any person posting to World Artist Directory will have been presented with this disclaimer and terms of use prior to doing so and, as such, be subject to its terms as indicated below.
CONDITIONS OF USE
You are entirely responsible and liable for all postings to World Artist Directory. Listed below are some, though not all, violations which may result in World Artist Directory deleting your postings. You agree not to do any of the following actions while posting an ad to World Artist Directory.
- harass, threaten, embarrass or slander any person or entity;
- transmit via World Artist Directory any information, data, text, files, links, software, chat, communication or other materials ("Content") that World Artist Directory considers to be unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
- impersonate in World Artist Directory any business or person, living or dead, famous or not;
- intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, including but not limited to any regulations having the force of law while using or accessing World Artist Directory or in connection with your use of World Artist Directory in any manner.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
You agree that you will not upload or transmit any Content to World Artist Directory that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party. By submitting Content to World Artist Directory you automatically grant -- or warrant that the owner of such Content has expressly granted -- World Artist Directory the royalty-free, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, perform and display such Content (in whole or part) worldwide. (In more simple terms, that you are simply allowing us to display your submitted art in the format provided by the World Artist Registry).
CONTENT
You must evaluate, and bear the risk associated with, the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any Content. World Artist Directory shall not be responsible for any Content. World Artist Directory does not prescreen or monitor all Content as a matter of policy, but World Artist Directory shall have the right, but not the responsibility, to remove Content which is deemed in sole discretion harmful, offensive, or otherwise in violation of this Agreement or any rules World Artist Directory has in place at the time. World Artist Directory may elect at its sole discretion to monitor some, all, or no areas of World Artist Directory for adherence to this Agreement or rules.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
You expressly agree that use of World Artist Directory is at your own risk. World Artist Directory shall not be responsible to you for any content found on World Artist Directory . World Artist Directory expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. World Artist Directory makes no warranty that World Artist Directory will be timely, secure, error free, or meet your requirements; nor does World Artist Directory make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of World Artist Directory or as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through World Artist Directory. No advice or information, whether oral or written obtained by you from World Artist Directory shall create a warranty not expressly made herein. You understand and agree that any content downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of World Artist Directory is done at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damages to your computer or loss of data that results in the downloads of such content. To the full extent permissible under the applicable law, World Artist Directory shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use World Artist Directory or for the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods or services purchased or obtained through your use of the World Artist Directory classified ads system.
